A very short letter from Arthur today and news from brother Tancred he is delighted to hear; also the congratulations are pouring in after his recent Mention in Despatches.

Quite a post to-day! Your dear letter of Saturday with the very sweet enclosure from your Mater. Also a letter of congratulations from my Mater & an enclosure from Tancred, which I shall answer & then send on to you, dear. He says he’ll only be too happy to join us together!
